Station Bocognano: the chestnut fair

Considered the largest county fair in Corsica, the chestnut fair is the rendezvous of the winter season. It takes place in the village of Bocognano. Dedicated to the chestnut, for three days a variety of producers and artisans meet to offer to the public (20000 visitors each year) the best of the island production and thus testify of the vitality of young rural economy. Meetings and conferences punctuate this event which is classified as "remarkable site of Taste" by the National Council of the culinary arts. The fair is a showof food, handicrafts and Corsican culture.
