Situated on the southern shore of the Gulf of Ajaccio, in the municipality of Pietrosella, beach Mare e Sole (or "Silver Beach") has a flawless reputation: translucent waters, sandbanks to walk very far, the beach is sheltered from the wind. At lunchtime, many beach restaurants (paillotes) are available and a pine forest, if you prefer picnics. The presence of many "jet setters" will delight the trendiest of us. Above all, a unique natural area known for its blazing sunsets . The Sanguinary Islands is an archipelago of four islands. Colonies of seabirds nest in peace.. Original flora consists of more than 150 species on Mezzu Mare, the main island , some rare or even absent from the rest of Corsica including the spectacular arum eats fly . The sanguinaire islands, have also a rich and full of mysteries past. Many accounts of travelers, one of the most famous is Alphonse Daudet in " Letters from my mill " evoke traces of life in these wild islands. Human presence dates back to the sixteenth century with the construction of a Genovese tower, where is now located the current lighthouse . In 1806 Mezzu Mare becomes a health post with the construction of a quarantine lazaretto, for the coral fishermen returning from Africa. The lighthouse is automated since1985. The archipelago was purchased by the General Council of Corsica in 1973.

Located on the southern shore of the Gulf of Ajaccio, Agosta beach offers a wide bathing area with a huge golden sandy beach. It is visited by tourists and families in summer. In the evening you can see a beautiful panorama of the Gulf of Ajaccio and its beautiful sunsets. It is shortly after Porticcio using the D55.
On the peninsula of the Parata located west of Ajaccio about 11 kms from the centre, on a rocky outcrop of granite stands the Genovese tower built in 1550-1551 by Giacomo Lombardo. A marked path to discover the flora and fauna and enjoy the isles of the Sanguinaires (accessible only by boat during the high season). The whole peninsula and the isles of the Sanguinaires are engaged in a process of labeling Grand Site of France. The site is open all year. Information and guided tour on request.

Halfway between Ajaccio and Corte by the National Highway 193 crossing the Col de Vizzavona to 1,163 m, the village of Bocognano (484 inhabitants) occupies a territory surrounded by the mountain massif of Monte d'Oro in the north and the massif of Monte Renoso south, through which flows the Gravona. Bocognano, is known for its location at the foot of Monte d'Oro situation (all Monte d'Oro / Vizzavone for Natura 2000 site), chestnut woods, the waterfall of the Bride's Veil and the site of the canyoning Richjusa. The waterfall of the Bride's Veil, specially high and wide for its impressive waterfall flow in winter, it is about 300 m upstream of the bridge Salicio the D27 road on stream Trotto.
Capo di Feno is a beach near the Gulf of Ajaccio. It is of the most famous surf spot in Corse-du-Sud. There are two beaches separated by a field: the "Grand Capo" is a tourist and largest beach and beach Sevani ie "Little Capo" smaller but very nice and less famous ...
